Super Mario Bros. 2 Japan
Originally released in Japan for the Famicom Disk System as the sequel for the first Super Mario Bros. game, the Super Mario Bros 2 we got here in America was a much different game; it was a reskin of another FDS game known as, “Doki Doki Panic”. They believed this game was too difficult for American audiences and it wouldn’t go over well. We eventually did see a release of this game here with Super Mario All-Stars on the SNES, which carried a updated and graphically enhanced version of the game named, “Super Mario Bros The Lost Levels”.
