The Hoard

I’ve been collecting for quite some time. I grew up with the NES and I would always keep my games in alphabetical order in their cardboard boxes. All my friends however, threw out the boxes so I took a note from them and rationalized it as, “Well they still have these black sleeves to protect them, I guess I don’t need the whole box.” And that made complete sense, plus it cut down on the amount of space the games took up. Oh how I wish I could go back to my six year old self and knock some sense into me.

Anyway, the moment I officially started collecting I guess would have to be the months immediately following my sale of the NES and all my games to Funcoland. I didn’t necessarily want to do that, but I wanted a Genesis and my dad wouldn’t allow me to have another video game system considering I had recently gotten Super NES. There was only one course of action I could follow since my appetite had already been whetted from playing Sonic and Toe Jam & Earl a friends house. 2 entire trash bags filled with games got me a 2nd generation Genesis which came with Sonic, a 2nd generation Sega CD which came with Sewer Shark, Toe Jam and Earl, and Streets of Rage. The new acquisition was great, but I knew I had to get my old collections back!

The plan: To someday open my own video game museum. Or something to that nature.

Below is a list of the systems currently in my possession.
